True, I searched online and found 3 methods, the one you mentioned this one and one involving a hot metal object, hot, but not hot enough to melt anything, you put the hot object next to the part you want to fix and let it loosen up, the hotness will readapt the new shape.

I'll try the hair dryer next time, basically what you have to do is heat the plastic enough for the molecules to re adapt.
