As many of you ought to know of me, I drifted into Heroclix, from good ol' Horrorclix. One look at my trade thread here, and it's pretty obvious that I'm actively collecting and trading Heroclix these days. To say my tastes in Heroclix is narrowly defined is certainly putting your finger on it. What about the rest of you out there? Do yinz play/collect/trade Heroclix, also? I know quite a few IWF.net alumni are over on HCRealms.com (and a few of us here, as well)... Holla...

I don't collect Heroclix as such, the pieces I do have are for me and my son and we do have figures we would like. I play heroclix and/or horrorclix most weeks with my boy.
Variety is the spice....

I'm an actual judge for Heroclix. Sadly, it means that I don't get to play as often as I'd like. But I get cool stuff for being a judge, so I can't gripe too much. I just wish Wizkids would slow down and return to quarterly releases. I guess they are planning on going to one scenario play per year for Heroclix, and one for each of their other games (which would be great). The game is just getting far too expensive and soon we (my wife and daughter play as well) may very well consider just skipping bricks/cases and buy only the figures we really want. This hurts our local store a bit but it has been discussed!
As it stands now our weekends are pretty full as we paly the following games (not every month thankfully):
Heroclix (Judge) Horrorclix (Zombie Master, I'm one of the two original ZMs in this state, now I'm the only one) Monsterpocalypse (Press Ganger / EO / Judge) Warmachine / Hordes (Press Ganger / EO / Judge) Bodgers Games (Press Ganger / EO / Judge) X-Wing (EO) This does not include RPGs (which we rarely have time for), board, dice and card games!
Sometimes it is too much, especially when WizKids throws down yet another scenario play thingy!

I was really into Heroclix when it start that go me modding because the vender in my area was riping off box in the begin so you would get a lot of dup figure. By time Horrorclix came out I was only getting a few if any Heroclix from a set that I like and was willing to pay for. With the new skill my friend Mick taught me I get back into paint metal mini but in that and Heroclix my focus is really for Horrorclixs.

Coolio- I, too, judge Heroclix events at my local store; and sometimes I will play a 'bye" for the "odd-man out". I honestly haven't played Horrorclix in quite a while, mostly due to time constraints (same goes for my RPG playing). Since I work "nontraditional hours", I'm home when most of my friends are working, and working when they're home.
However, I taught my son to play Horrorclix the same afternoon I learned the game, and we both migrated to Heroclix when the Horrorclix collecting on my part was completed. (No, my Marvel Zombies from Supernova aren't actuals, but legal dial mock-ups, and no, I didn't get a Sacrificed Virgin, but did get my hands on a Heirophant; otherwise, I'm good.)
Aside to Brother 'zilla- did you get that picture I sent to you via FB of those mods you did for me way back when of BL Firestorm & BL Aquaman alongside their WoL counterparts?

After I get caught up with my current mods, I'm going to post my Heroclix customs. Warning: I did some of these years before WizKids released theirs (I like my Howard the duck better than theirs, he even has a cigar!)

I actually started with Heroclix, and only recently drifted into Horrorclix. I'd say about a year or so ago is when I picked up the starter set and my first base set booster for three bucks at a garage sale.
It's just such a refreshing game compared to the nonsense Heroclix has become recently. Damage values lower than 3 are worthless, characters have so many movement options now that breaking away is sometimes a thing you never do, improved targeting removing map control, damage reducers everywhere, swiss army pieces...
I play Horrorclix and almost forget that having 8 attack and 1 damage does not mean that monster is deadweight.

Amen brother. I go cock-eyed playing heroclix with my boy. The new rules suck and I fear that if HrC was released, it'd go that same way!

I love monsters. I also grew up loving Godzilla so big monsters and big powers are cool but some of Heroclix is a little too power crazy.

I too fear that if Horrorclix were to be re-released (it will never happen so long as one particular person is in charge at WizKids) it would be another Heroclix compatible game. Not good for the game at all...
