A rarity for Disney for sure. I'm surprised that Disney is even capable of pulling off something like that and still keep it scary. Two for one. Guru has a remastered cut of Blood Splattered Cinema's comparison of the book and the film, The Mist. And the post above it is my purposed teams for FearFan, Guru, Jackula, Maven, and Cinema Snob. channelawesome.com/forums/threads/the-triad-of-terror.51579/page-2#post-967538The only reason why I posted the thread from Channel Awesome is because of the lists are over there.

Even creepier Disney film? "Something Wicked This Way Comes". Outstanding film! I had high hopes for Freakshow being somewhat like it. Sadly, it was not...
I cannot say that I 100% agree with his comparison of the novella and film versions of the Mist. Both are incredible, but the novella felt Lovecraftian to me whereas the film did not. I agree for film, the ending is better, but the novella's ending of the unknown I felt was extremely effective and bleak. I found no hope in it...
Bottom line for me... Novella 4 Film 4

You really should! "something Wicked..." is based on a Bradbury novella. Very cool. I always felt King's "Needful Things" was inspired by it...

Thanks both, i am going to watch both movies. Watched your link PaladinDemo, the atmosphere of the film reminds me some stories/films i grew up with, so this is a plus, hehe.
