For a long time now I've felt that non collectible booster packs would have been an awesome addition to our beloved game. I've also long contemplated the use of a Golden Age Heroclix mechanic that has largely gone to the wayside: Battlefield Conditions. Horrorclix doesn't have that many official maps, so I thought little things like this would be a real boost! I've decided to call them Plot Devices. The first set is "Disaster" and pays homage to the old 70s & 80s films plus all of the modern B movies that use a Disaster as a launching point. Man, I just came up with a killer idea! Check it out. A weird storm on the coast (either east or west) creates flooding and tornados. But before they hit land, they suck up a bunch of hungry sharks! They really need to make that into a movie! Anyway, here we go:

Thanks! I thought about a cosmic event (solar flare, meteor, etc.) but realized that would make a great Pack all of its own. Heh heh heh! Eventually!

BTW, that image for "Flood" was my town in 2011. Man was it bad! We live on a hill, so we stayed dry, and opened our home to four others who lived less that 50 feet from the dikes. I pressured them into coming here for their own safety. I'm glad I did, but was uber happy to get our home back after they departed about 2 weeks later.

I don't know how you would do it but maybe a Plot Twist for a Creepy Town setting like the little village setting where anyone has a secret or is watching strangers like in show like Haven or books from King or Lovecraft.

'Zilla, I think that'd make a helluva Subplot. And I thank you kindly as I am planning on re-releasing my old sets with updated cards, that'll fit right in! If you don't mind of course.

We hit -78 on the flightline here. They pulled us off the line at that point. We went online and found that globally only 1 place was colder than we were. No, not Siberia, not the North Pole, not even freakin' Antarctica! Nope some little town in Canada about 150 miles from us.
That sucked!

Many kids had tongues frozen to poles that day. To me thats -61C, which is 3 times colder than my freezer. In the winter here it gets -15C (5F) at the most.
