We pretty much assume them to cover 2 squares by 2 squares. And they work fine. Although the Shoggoth did take down the Alien Queen.

I think it's just personnel I like peanut bases for 2x2 but maybe I should look at it again it would be better to my trents I was making for Harvest Moon court.

2"x2" is only 1/2 inch bigger than the standard figure. The double based Heroclix pieces are 3"x3". So yeah there is a size difference, but it's not insurmountable. Like I said we always assume that the figure is taking 4 squares and all is good!
